During 2002, many vendors were rushing to market 802.11a (up to 54Mpbs) wireless ethernet products that were supposed to be the next wave in wireless networking. However, at the same time, an in-progress standard called 802.11g may supplant both the original 802.11b and newer 802.11a standards. So frankly, the safest bet for now may be to seek out wireless ethernet hardware that supports all three standards: 802.11b, 802.11a, and 802.11g.

As an IT consultant you should be aware that wireless is a great business opportunity for savvy computer consultants. However, since there is a fairly large installed base of 802.11b (11Mbps) products already, and most 802.11a products are not backward compatible with 802.11b products (although many vendors are rushing to market with hybrid 802.11b/802.11a products), this 802.11a standard faces an uphill battle in the marketplace.

The Bottom Line about wireless ethernet

While wireless ethernet will likely overtake wired ethernet (Category 5) as the dominant small business networking standard at some point in the future, the when and how is still very unclear. In the meantime though, many small business computer consultants are still finding wireless ethernet to be a tremendous marketplace opportunity.

walt Disney World

Every kid in the world dreams of a trip to what is dubbed the most magical place on earth, walt Disney World. The Central Florida Disney destination is not just one theme park, but has enough activities to keep the kids happy for a week or more, seeing new things every day. walt Disney World offers four theme parks The Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, disney MGM Studios, and animal Kingdom. They also have two water parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. In addition they have an indoor five-story arcade called disney quest where kids can go floor to floor playing games all day long for once price. If you stay in a disney resort, there are perks including extra hours of time to play in the theme parks as well as special meal offerings, such as Character Breakfasts, where they can enjoy a meal with Mickey Mouse and his friends. For the adults, there are also fun rides and attractions at all the parks, as well as nightlife in downtown Disneys Pleasure Island, and endless shopping and dining experiences.

Atlantis Resort

This mythical looking resort is located on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. In addition to being your hotel, it boasts 11 separate pools with slides and rides for the kids to enjoy all day long. Its much like having a water park right out the back door of your hotel. In addition, they have a massive aquarium exhibit that allows you to feel that you have made the journey to the bottom of the ocean.

Snowbird Resort

Looking for a colder climate? Try the Snowbird Resort in Snowbird, Utah. There is of course a lot of skiing (kids under 12 ski free) and you can also try your hand at snowboarding, snowmobiling, snow tubing, and ice-skating. If you think youre really good, you can even join into one of the many competitions held at the resort.

Treesort

If youve read the book Swiss family Robinson, you can picture what you will find at the Treesort in Takilma, Oregon. This location offers 18 variations in tree house cabins for rent for holidays with children. When youre not exploring the inside of your tree house, you can be outside on a swing, playing on the rope course, or cooling off in one of the fresh water swimming pools.

Kingsmill Resort

Located in Williamsburg, Virginia, the Kingsmill Resort has something for kids of all ages. For the little ones, there is a kids camp on property and historic Colonial Williamsburg is just a short distance away as is the Busch Gardens theme park. For the adults, the property has a golf course as well as tennis courts and a marina if you would like to take to the water.

Most people would think that by putting a gay mobster in sopranos would totally ruin the show and have a little side story going and maybe even get the gay guys watching sopranos.

Yet the quite opposite happened when "Vito" from the sopranos was discovered to be gay by two wiseguys at a gay night club. The media of course blew up the entire scenario out of proportion and the fans, responded back...but not in a negative way.

The fans of the sopranos instead started having bets on what would happen to the gay Mobster, it seemed as if everyone was happy, from the producers and the broadcasters (huge surge in rating) to the media outlets (more cover stories) to the gay-fans of the sopranos who were glad that being gay wasnt look down upon.

Ultimately sites such as "SopranoFamily.com" Sopranos Gay Mobster started popping up so people could vote. It turns out that when a gay character is introduced to the main stream public there is a initial rise in publicity for the show. Not to mention the general public is becoming more "open-eyed" to such things.

In the end, no harm was done and everyone thought the gay-mobster just made the whole story line for the sopranos more interesting.
